I’ve Been Locked Up Over My Own Car

DEAR AUNTIE ABENA,

Hello. It’s very urgent and I need advice please. Keep me anonymous.

I sold my car to some guy, he paid part and failed to pay the rest. He blocked my number and all other means to reach him failed. I posted on Facebook that the car was stolen just so I could get him to call me and pay the money which he contacted me with threatening messages instead.

I was called to the police station because my vehicle was intercepted only for me to be locked for misleading the public which was a charge pressed by the guy. I’m to report to court on Thursday. I seriously need help on what to do.
