I’ve Become the Black Sheep in Church

DEAR AUNTIE ABENA,

I have done the unthinkable and will need your humble opinion on what to do immediately but first, I will like to start by quoting John 8:7 which says, “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.” I welcome all insults though.

Auntie Abena, I have mistakenly impregnated a choir girl who happens to be one of our pastor’s daughter. She broke the news during our usual youth meeting and ever since, I haven’t been able to think straight.

Now, how do I explain this to my pastor as a youth leader and also an organist whom everyone looks up to? I’ve always counseled the youth against fornication and its associated risks but here I am being labelled a “black sheep” as I have become the subject of gossip and can no longer attend church.
