DEAR AUNTIE ABENA,
I have been married to my husband for 6 years and we have 1 kid. My husband lost his job during the COVID time. Due to that he doesn’t have money now and costs of living is very hard for us. My son doesn’t even go to school nowadays.
I have a long friend living in Dubai and came to Ghana just recently. We’ve been chatting regularly but I didn’t tell him I’m married. When he was there, he used to send me money a few times. I told him about needing help to set up a business and he promised to give me money to start something. Now that he’s in Ghana, he’s saying he is in love with me and seems really serious about it.
Right now my husband is sick and we’re finding it tough to survive. As I am typing this, I haven’t eaten since morning. This guy is now saying he has helped me a lot and I know that he wants to have his way with me before giving me the money for bossiness. I used to ask help from people before we even eat and I am tired of explaining my situation to people. I need the money badly but I also don’t want to defile my marital home too. Please what should I do?
